Jaime Biondo is a photographer who specializes in creating Food and Beverage images. In recent years, Biondo has also added Chef and Executive Portraits, as well as Venue and Architectural images to his repertoire.
Still life photography has been the mainstay of his career. Always shooting exclusively for corporate clientele. Biondo started in NYC shooting editorially, then moving on to San Francisco producing national consumer advertising images for the major Ad Agencies.
Currently based in Las Vegas, MGM Resorts International has provided most of the work over the years.
Biondo has shot for all the MGM Properties. He has created images for just about every restaurant and cocktail lounge MGM has, as well as working with all of their celebrity chefs.
He has also been the primary F&B photographer for
M Life Magazine, now for over 50 consecutive issues.
Biondo is great at coaching a chef or mixologist. Making sure what is presented on set is just right to the camera. His gear includes a full kit of styling tools. He personally adds that final touch, finishing off what is to be shot.
Also, he has an extensive stock of surfaces, backgrounds and props, to create the setting that his clients ask for.
Having learned to always set his own shots, what you see on this website is just Jaime, the Chef and his Clients, working closely to make everything perfect. Only two of the images on this site used a food stylist on set.
Biondo also retouches each and every image personally, to insure that the final image is exactly as he intends.
When not behind the camera or at the computer, Biondo enjoys spending time with his wife & twins, traveling, skiing & camping in the rugged southwest.
Biondo earned his Visual Communications degree (commercial photography) from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens Ohio.
Awards & Nominations:
Biondo has won numerous awards, always thru the corporations, ad agencies, & publications he has shot for.
ABOUT THE LOGO
Early on in San Francisco, an art director named Mike Di Vincenze, offered to generate a new logo for Biondo. Mike's goal in creating this logo was to capture the experience of shooting with Biondo during several long tough shoots.
A few years later, while Biondo was shooting with Gregg Perin, a very prominent SF Packaging Designer, Gregg offered to take the logo to the next level. Adding his own stylistic approach.
Notably, Gregg was the designer who created most all the packaging, art, and labels you have ever seen for the Budweiser / Anheuser Busch product line, for the past several decades.
"About The Logo" is our tribute to Mike Di Vincenze's inspiration, and in memory of Gregg Perin, who will always be remembered as an amazing creator, a fun guy, and ultimately a great friend.
